Singing bowls have been recognized for centuries in Tibetan tradition since at least the time of 12th century. They are made of alloys of seven different metals, connected to the seven principal planets, come in various dimensions, and produce an enveloping sound that soothes the mind. There are usually 3 techniques of playing the bowls: Beating, Encircling, along the rim, and adding of water to change the tones.
